Terms of Service

1. Who We Are

Old World Rankings ("OWR", "the Platform", "we", "us") is operated by Tributech Pty Ltd (ABN 65 140 774 876), an Australian company. These terms govern your use of the website at oldworldrankings.com, our mobile applications, and all related services.

2. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using OWR you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Platform. We may update these terms from time to time — continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.

3. The Service

OWR provides tournament management, player rankings, army list management, photo galleries, and community tools for tabletop wargaming, primarily Warhammer: The Old World. The Platform is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis.

4. Accounts

You must be at least 13 years old to create an account. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. You must provide accurate information when creating an account. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.

5. Free and Paid Services

OWR offers both free and paid tiers. Free accounts have access to core features including rankings, tournament browsing, and army list management. Pro subscriptions and tournament hosting features are billed as described on our pricing page. All fees are in the currency stated at checkout and are non-refundable unless required by Australian Consumer Law.

6. Tournament Hosting

6.1 Platform Role

OWR provides tools for tournament organisers ("TOs") to create, manage, and run events. OWR acts as a platform provider only — we are not the organiser, host, or operator of any tournament.

6.2 No Service Level Agreement

Tournament hosting tools are provided without any guaranteed uptime or service level agreement (SLA). While we make reasonable efforts to keep the Platform available, we do not guarantee uninterrupted access during events. TOs should have contingency plans (printed pairings, offline scoring, etc.) in case of service disruption.

6.3 Payment Processing

Where TOs collect registration fees through OWR, payments are processed via Stripe. OWR facilitates the transaction but is not a party to the contract between the TO and the attendee. Processing fees are outlined on our pricing page.

6.4 Refunds

Refund policies for tournament registrations are set entirely by the tournament organiser. OWR is not responsible for issuing refunds to attendees. Disputes about tournament refunds should be directed to the TO. If a TO is unable or unwilling to process a refund, attendees may pursue resolution through their payment provider.

7. User Content

7.1 What You Submit

Users may submit content to OWR including but not limited to: army lists, tournament results, player profiles, gallery images, and event descriptions ("User Content"). You retain ownership of your User Content.

7.2 Licence You Grant Us

By submitting User Content, you grant OWR a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to use, display, reproduce, and distribute that content within the Platform and for promotional purposes related to OWR. This licence continues for as long as the content remains on the Platform.

7.3 Responsibility for User Content

You are solely responsible for the User Content you submit. OWR does not pre-screen all content and is not responsible for the accuracy, legality, or appropriateness of User Content submitted by users. We perform some moderation — particularly on gallery submissions — but do not guarantee that all content will be reviewed.

7.4 Content Removal

We reserve the right to remove any User Content that violates these terms, is reported by other users, or that we deem inappropriate at our sole discretion. We may also remove inactive or abandoned content.

8. Tournament Data and Rankings

8.1 Data Sources

OWR aggregates tournament results and player data from multiple sources including:

• Results submitted directly by tournament organisers through OWR
• Results submitted by players
• Publicly available tournament results and standings from third-party tournament platforms
• Data obtained through official APIs provided by third-party tournament platforms
• Results uploaded via spreadsheets or entered manually by tournament organisers

8.2 Public Nature of Competitive Data

Tournament results, rankings, win/loss records, and army list selections are competitive data that is inherently public in nature — similar to sports statistics. By participating in tournaments tracked by OWR, you acknowledge that your tournament performance data (name, placings, faction choices, matchup results) may be displayed on the Platform.

8.3 Accuracy

We make reasonable efforts to ensure data accuracy but do not guarantee that all tournament results or rankings are error-free. TOs and players may request corrections by contacting us.

9. Army Lists

OWR provides a public submission system for army lists. Army lists may be submitted by players, tournament organisers, or other community members. OWR does not control, verify, or take responsibility for the content of army lists submitted, nor for where submitters source that information from. Army lists displayed on the Platform form part of the public competitive record.

10. Intellectual Property

10.1 OWR Platform

All platform code, design, and branding are owned by Tributech Pty Ltd or its licensors. You may not copy, modify, or redistribute any part of the Platform without permission.

10.2 Third-Party Intellectual Property

Old World Rankings is an independent community platform. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by any game publisher, manufacturer, or rights holder.

All game systems, rules, faction names, unit names, logos, imagery, and associated marks referenced on the Platform — including but not limited to those belonging to Games Workshop Ltd — are the property of their respective owners. These marks are used on the Platform without permission, solely for community identification, tournament tracking, and reference purposes. No commercial claim is made over any third-party intellectual property.

11. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the Platform for any unlawful purpose
• Submit false, misleading, or fraudulent information, including misrepresenting tournament results
• Attempt to gain unauthorised access to other accounts or Platform systems
• Interfere with or disrupt the Platform's operation
• Scrape, crawl, or programmatically access the Platform without permission
• Harass, abuse, or threaten other users

Violation of these rules may result in immediate account termination.

12. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Tributech Pty Ltd and its directors, employees, and contractors shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Platform. This includes but is not limited to: loss of data, loss of revenue, service interruptions during tournaments, or reliance on rankings or results displayed on the Platform.

Our total liability for any claim arising from these terms or your use of the Platform is limited to the amount you have paid to OWR in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim.

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded under Australian Consumer Law.

13. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Tributech Pty Ltd from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your use of the Platform, your User Content, or your violation of these terms.

14. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of New South Wales, Australia.

15. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Platform at any time, with or without cause, with or without notice. Upon termination, your right to use the Platform ceases immediately. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination (including intellectual property, limitation of liability, and indemnification) will survive.
