Your Data Rights

Last updated: March 2026

Old World Rankings is operated by Tributech Pty Ltd (ABN 65 140 774 876). We respect your rights over your personal data. This page explains what rights you have and how to exercise them.

Your Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction (including under GDPR and the Australian Privacy Act), you may have the right to:

  • Access — Request a copy of all personal data we hold about you
  • Rectification — Correct inaccurate or incomplete personal data
  • Erasure — Request deletion of your account and personal data
  • Restriction — Request that we limit how we process your data
  • Portability — Receive your data in a structured, machine-readable format
  • Objection — Object to processing based on legitimate interest
  • Cookie preferences — Accept or decline analytics cookies via the consent banner at any time
  • Anonymisation — Request that your name in historical tournament records be anonymised

How to Make a Request

Email us at data@oldworldrankings.com from the email address associated with your account. Include:

  • Your display name or username on OWR
  • What you're requesting (access, deletion, correction, etc.)
  • Any relevant details to help us locate your data

We will verify your identity and respond within 30 days.

What Happens When You Delete Your Account

When you request account deletion, we will:

  • Delete your account credentials (email, password, OAuth links)
  • Delete your profile information (bio, avatar, email preferences)
  • Remove uploaded images (gallery photos, avatars) from storage
  • Anonymise your name in tournament records (results are retained as part of the historical competitive record, but your identity is replaced with an anonymous placeholder)
  • Sever links to payment processors (Stripe retains transaction data per PCI requirements)

Tournament results aggregated from third-party platforms exist independently of your OWR account and cannot be deleted from those sources by us.

Hide Player

If you don't want to delete your account but would prefer not to appear in public rankings, you can use the "Hide Player" feature in your profile settings. This pseudonymises your name on public-facing pages. Your data is still retained internally but is not displayed publicly.
