Old World Rankings ("OWR", "the Platform", "we", "us") is operated by Tributech Pty Ltd (ABN 65 140 774 876), an Australian company. This policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your personal information.

2. Information We Collect

2.1 Account Information

When you create an account — either directly or via third-party authentication (Google, Microsoft) — we collect:

  • Name and display name
  • Email address
  • Password (stored securely using industry-standard hashing) — or authentication token if using social login
  • Region/country selection
  • Profile photo (optional, or imported from your social login provider)

2.2 Tournament and Gaming Data

When you use the Platform, we collect:

  • Tournament registrations, results, and placings
  • Army list compositions
  • Player rankings and performance statistics
  • Gallery images and descriptions you upload
  • Matchup and scoring data

2.3 Data from Third-Party Platforms

We aggregate publicly available tournament results from various sources including third-party tournament platforms, spreadsheet uploads, and manual entry by tournament organisers. This data may include your name, placings, faction choices, and army list selections from events you have participated in — regardless of whether you have an OWR account.

2.4 Payment Information

If you subscribe to OWR Pro or register for paid tournaments, payment is processed by Stripe. We do not store your credit card details. Stripe's privacy policy governs payment data.

2.5 Automatically Collected Information

We collect standard technical data including:

  • IP address
  • Browser type and version
  • Device type
  • Pages visited and interaction patterns
  • Referral source

3. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to:

  • Provide and maintain the Platform — rankings, tournament management, army lists
  • Display your tournament results and rankings publicly
  • Process payments for subscriptions and tournament registrations
  • Send transactional emails (account confirmation, tournament updates, password resets)
  • Improve the Platform through analytics
  • Enforce our Terms of Service and prevent abuse

We do not use your personal information for marketing or advertising purposes. We do not sell your data.

4. Public Information

The following information is public by default and visible to all Platform users:

  • Display name
  • Region
  • Tournament results and placings
  • Rankings and performance statistics
  • Army lists submitted to tournaments
  • Gallery images you upload

This is inherent to the competitive and community nature of the Platform. Tournament results and rankings are public information, similar to sports statistics.

5. Cookies and Analytics

We use essential cookies (session, login) that do not require consent, and privacy-focused analytics (Umami) that are cookieless. Google Analytics only loads with your explicit consent via the cookie banner. For full details on every cookie and script, see our Cookie Policy.

6. Third-Party Services

We use third-party services for hosting, authentication, payments, analytics, AI features, and tournament data aggregation. Each service has its own privacy policy governing how it handles your data. 7. Data Sharing

We share your information only in these circumstances:

  • Public display: Tournament results, rankings, and army lists are displayed publicly on the Platform (see Section 4)
  • Tournament organisers: When you register for a tournament, the TO can see your registration details
  • Payment processing: Stripe processes payments on our behalf
  • Authentication providers: Google/Microsoft receive only the data necessary for login
  • Legal requirements: We may disclose information if required by law or to protect our rights

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties.

8. User-Submitted Content

Players and tournament organisers submit data to OWR including tournament results, army lists, event details, and gallery images. We do not control the accuracy or content of user submissions. We perform moderation on gallery entries but do not guarantee review of all submitted content.

If you believe content on the Platform infringes your rights or is inaccurate, contact us and we will investigate.

9. Data Retention

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. Tournament results and rankings are retained indefinitely as part of the historical competitive record, even if your account is deleted — though your name can be anonymised on request.

Automatically collected analytics data is retained in aggregated form and cannot be traced to individual users.

10. Your Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction (including under GDPR and the Australian Privacy Act), you have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, and export your personal data. You can also object to processing, manage cookie preferences, and request anonymisation of your name in historical tournament records. 11. Data Security

We use industry-standard security measures to protect your data, including encrypted connections (HTTPS), secure password hashing, and access controls. However, no system is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

12. Children

OWR is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

13. International Users

OWR is operated from Australia. If you access the Platform from outside Australia, your information may be transferred to and processed in Australia. By using the Platform, you consent to this transfer.

14. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We will notify registered users of material changes via email or an in-app notice. The "last updated" date at the top reflects the most recent revision.
